After School Art Instructor: Maryanne Hiti Three different sessions, each three weeks in length. Sign up for just one or all three... you decide! Each session will cover a different medium and will result in at least one fi nished product. Note: The price for the full series is just $90. Individual sessions are $35 a piece. Room 258B
Session 1: Printmaking Grades 4 - 6, Thursday, Feb. 2, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 3:00 - 4:00 pm Grades 1 - 3, Thursday, Feb. 2, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 4:00 - 5:00 pm Students will learn the art of printmaking and create their own unique prints. Please bring a paint shirt the fi rst day of class.
Session 2: Papier-maché Grades 4 - 6, Thursday, Feb. 23, March 1 and March 8 3:00 - 4:00 pm Grades 1 - 3, Thursday, Feb. 23, March 1 and March 8 4:00 - 5:00 pm Students will get messy creating a sculptural papier-maché object and learn painting techniques to complete their masterpiece. Please bring a paint shirt the fi rst day of class.
Session 3: Batik and Painting Grades 4 - 6, Thursday, March 15, March 22 and March 29 3:00 - 4:00 pm Grades 1 - 3, Thursday, March 15, March 22 and March 29 4:00 - 5:00 pm Learn the ancient art of batik while creating your own batik artwork using paint and a glue-resist technique. Please bring a paint shirt the fi rst day of class.
Art Workshops – Instructor: Kate Uhlir Instruction in pastel drawing, watercolor techniques and an introduction class in painting w/oil and/or acrylic paints on canvas. Make it, Take it, Jewelry Class for Beginners Instructor: Alsie Clay Participants will create: Day 1) A bracelet and earrings set; Day 2) A dangle bracelet and earrings set; Day 3) A necklace and earrings set. Mold-Making Master Class Instructor - Mark Olitsky Master the technology of building sculptural molds, as taught by co-owners of downtown Cleveland’s prestigious Studio Foundry. Suitable for adults, preferably with some arts workshop experience, and for artists interested in learning new techniques. Saturdays, March 24 & 31 10a.m. - 4p.m. Room 258B $135 for both workshops
Photography Class Series Nature by the Seasons: Photographing Winter - Instructor: Tammy Mellert, Owner of TJ Refl ections Photography LLC We will discuss the various ways to photograph snow and winter scenes with a digital camera. The class will cover the areas of composition, exposure, lighting, etc. We’ll be shooting some winter images on the grounds of Shore Cultural Centre or Sims Park in Euclid, so please dress appropriately for winter weather. This class is suitable for age 16 and over, under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Limit 6 Note: Bring your camera, pen and paper. Getting more out of your new digital camera (or one you already have!)
Instructor: Tammy Mellert, Owner of TJ Reflections Photography LLC
We will discuss the various modes of the camera and how to take better pictures. In four sessions, we will cover the areas of composition, exposure, lighting, and more, and provide students the opportunity to have their own photographs critiqued. Pottery – Instructor: Jayson Hayes
Beginners-Intermediates-Advanced!!! Learn a variety of methods including hand building, working on a potter’s wheel & glazing methods. Advanced students may work on their method of choice. Sculpting with Clay

Learn to sculpt forms with clay, build an armature and create a finished piece. Taught by co-owners of downtown Cleveland’s prestigious Studio Foundry. Beginners to advanced. $45 for four week session. February 7, 14, 21, 28. 6:30 - 8p.m.

Stained Glass and Porcelain Jewelry
Studio Workshop

Learn to make unique porcelain jewelry or stained glass pieces. Choose a done-in-a-day project, or come for all four sessions to tackle something larger. Suitable for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

Themed Quilt Class for Beginners
Instructor: Alsie Clay
Participants will create a lap quilt or wall hanging with a theme. This project is suitable for making a special gift for the holidays, a memory quilt for a loved one, to honor a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary, favorite hobbies or activities. A sewing background is helpful, but quilting experience is not required. Room 117

Watercolor
Instructor: Dennis Vargo
Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced
Have fun with watercolors and see the magical effect it will have on paper. Some experience is helpful but not necessary. Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm, beginning February 7 and running through April 10. 10 sessions, $50. Room 103
